With the polls now closed, results across East Central Illinois are coming in for this year’s midterm election.

Since mail-in votes may still be counted if they are postmarked and arrive up to two weeks after Election Day, some races may remain too close to call Tuesday night.

Voters in the area went to the polls for several races, including the Champaign County Clerk, County Sheriff, Illinois’ 13th congressional district and a competitive race for District 104 in the State House. Several school and local school and municipal proposals were also on the ballot.
