DANVILLE — An individual has been taken into custody after making a threat to a school in Danville.
The Danville Police Department said in a news release it responded to a threat the Danville School District received Thursday morning.
The department said it coordinated with the district to investigate the threat and was able to locate and identify the individual who allegedly made the threat.
The suspect was taken into custody and charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and making a terroristic threat. The school which received the threat was not identified, and because the suspect is a juvenile, police are not releasing their name.
“At no time were students or staff in danger, and the situation was resolved before the school day began,” wrote Superintendent John Hart in a letter to families.
