42nd Annual Insect Fear Film Festival
Time: 5:00 p.m.
Location: Foellinger Auditorium, Urbana
Details: Activities start at 5:00 p.m., with film introductions beginning at 7:00 p.m. Enjoy an insect petting zoo, arts and crafts, an art competition, and more. Special guest Steven Kutcher, a renowned Hollywood “bug wrangler,” will present clips of his work in horror films, many of which feature tarantulas.

Spurlock Sunday: All in the Family—Monumental Brass and Coats of Arms
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Location: Spurlock Museum, Urbana
Details: Monumental brasses, used on graves from the 13th to 16th centuries, were key family history records, with rubbings later made to preserve them. Coats of arms, dating back to the 12th century, identified knights and royalty, featuring symbols tied to family heritage. Come try making brass and textural rubbings, explore the elements of a coat of arms, and design one for your family!
