
Thousands join Urbana’s ‘No Kings’ protest amid nationwide rallies

Demonstrators filled the block in front of the Champaign County Courthouse on Saturday to protest Donald Trump’s presidency and policies.

State lawmakers passed dozens of education bills. They also left hundreds more on the table when they wrapped up this past weekend.

The General Consulate of Guatemala in Chicago partnered with the New American Welcome Center to bring its services to Urbana this weekend.

Indiana is among 26 states — many in the Midwest and South — that have outlawed youth gender-affirming care statewide since 2021. In Illinois, political leaders have moved in the opposite direction.
