Tornado Watch for Central Illinois now-9pm

The National Weather Service in Lincoln and Illinois Public Media News meteorologist Andrew Pritchard are tracking the potential for severe thunderstorms on Thursday. Threats include high winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes.

The NWS in Lincoln issued a Tornado Watch from now until 9:00 p.m. for Champaign, Coles, Douglas, Macon, Moultrie, Piatt and Vermilion Counties. At 5:34 p.m., the Tornado Watch was cancelled for De Witt, Logan, Morgan, Sangamon and Scott Counties.
