MAHOMET – Armed with colorful signs, dozens of people gathered outside the Champaign County office of 15th Congressional District Representative Mary Miller (R-IL) on Saturday.
The Republican-leaning district covers large swaths of downstate from Illinois reaching both the western and eastern borders. Miller was uncontested in her 2024 race, with more than 308,000 people voting for her in November 2024. She is part of the House Freedom Caucus and earned the endorsement of Donald Trump in her 2022 primary against veteran congressman Rodney Davis. Miller was first elected to Congress in 2020.
Editor’s Note: IPM News sought a response from Rep. Miller’s press representative but we have not received one as of Saturday evening.
Here is a gallery of photos from the protest.
