This weekend, September 21-26:
- The Krannert Center for Performing Arts in Urbana welcomes Ghanaian artist Okaidja Afroso and his show Jaku Mumor: Ancestral Spirit, a unique blend of ecological wisdom, ancestral traditions, and contemporary African oral storytelling.
- The Station Theatre hosts its final performances of The Inseparables, a feel-good comedy inspired by The Three Musketeers.
- The Spurlock Museum in Urbana will host CU Pride Fest: Behind the Mirror, featuring interviews with local drag stars.
- Opera and musical theater enthusiasts can look forward to the Lyric Theater Illinois’ annual Under the Stars performance at the Allerton Park’s Sunken Garden in Monticello.
- RuPaul’s Drag Race winners Alaska 5000 and Monet Exchange will grace the stage at the Krannert Center as part of the arts and culture festival Pygmalion.
- The Literary in Champaign is hosting its monthly Knit At Night, September 24 from 5 pm to 8 pm.
