Krannert Center Uncorked with Decadents at Krannert Center for Performing Arts
       Time: 5:00 p.m.
       Location: Krannert Center for Performing Arts, Urbana
       Details: Decadents, founded in Champaign in 2010, will perform Southern rock, pure pop, and country flourishes. The event is free.

Summer Twilight Concert on the Quad
       Time: 7:00 p.m.
       Location: University of Illinois Quad, Champaign
       Details: The University of Illinois Summer Band gives its July performance. Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.


Friday, July 19

Champaign County Fair in Urbana
       Time: Gates open at 4:00 p.m. (Friday)
       Location: Champaign County Fairgrounds, Urbana
       Details: The fair runs through Saturday, July 27th, with themed days such as Western Day, Kids Day, and Senior Citizen Day. The Sawyer Brothers Band will perform on Friday, July 19th.

Nickelodeon’s The Spongebob Musical at the Monticello Theatre Association

Summer Concert Series: Mid-October at the Walnut Hill Shelter in Homer Lake Forest Preserve

       Details: Local duo from Urbana performs alternative and indie music with heartfelt lyrics, vocals, and harmonies. The event is free.

Mattoon Bagelfest
       Time: 6:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
       Location: Mattoon Peterson Park, Mattoon
       Details: A variety of events including free music, a carnival, a dog show, races, Bingo, and the World’s Biggest Bagel Breakfast. 

Music at the Vines with Candy Foster & the Shades of Blue at Alto Vineyard
       Time: 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
       Location: Alto Vineyard, Champaign
       Details: One of the area’s best blues and jazz bands!

Oliver! at The Harold and Jean Miner Theatre at Parkland College

       Location: Parkland College, Champaign
       Details: Urbana Park District’s Youth Summer Theatre presents the award-winning musical based on the Charles Dickens novel. Tickets are available through phone call, at the Phillips Recreation Center, from a cast member, and at the door if still available.

Jonathan Butler-Duplessis at Yellow & Co. in Mahomet
       Time: Show begins at 5:00 p.m., doors open at 4:15 p.m.
       Location: Yellow & Co., Mahomet
       Details: Jonathan Butler-Duplessis, currently performing on Broadway in Hamilton, will perform songs and share stories about his journey to Broadway. He is a native of Champaign and a proud alumni of The University of Illinois.

Twelfth Night at Boneyard Creek Park in Urbana
       Time: 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
       Location: Boneyard Creek Park, Urbana
       Details: A 90-minute show performed by Starling Shakespeare Company. Admission is free.
