Domestic violence is a substantial issue that often lacks public attention, despite its widespread impact. Statistics indicate more than one in three women and one in four men have experienced rape, physical abuse or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime, with the Black community being disproportionately affected.

According to the National Domestic Violence Hotline, 45.1 percent of Black women and 40.1 percent of Black men have experienced physical violence, sexual violence or stalking by an intimate partner.

This episode of Dialogue delves into the critical issues behind domestic violence and highlights the experience of those affected.
