The Danville School District 118 dismissed classes early on Thursday “due to water challenges in our community,” according to a statement. The school sent the following dismissal schedule:

  • 10:30 a.m. – Danville High School and Kenneth D. Bailey academy
  • 11:15 a.m. – Morning Pre-K and Elementary school students
  • Noon – North Ridge and South View Schools
  • After Pre-K classes are canceled.

The district of almost 5,000 students says it does not know when water conditions will improve.

The Boys & Girls Club says it will now be open early today for our Club kids and First Student will be busing them there.
