CHAMPAIGN — Four teenagers are accused of committing aggravated robbery in Champaign’s Campustown Tuesday.
The University of Illinois police department said in a news release that the suspects took the victim into an alley in the 400 block of East Healey Street, implied they had a gun and robbed the victim.
Using security camera footage, the officers quickly detained the minors along Green Street and arrested them.
There were no firearms recovered. One suspect is at the Juvenile Detention Center on preliminary charges of aggravated robbery, mob action and possession of stolen property.
The other three suspects were released to their guardians and referred to the Youth Assessment Center.
All four are barred from all University of Illinois property.
