President Trump invoked a war-time era law to ramp up production of essential supplies, and some experts and government officials are warning this could be the new normal for as long as 18 months.

Illinois:
- There are over 200 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state, many are tied to a nursing home.
- A school district is using school buses as Wi-Fi hot spots for students without internet access.
Kentucky:
- There are 35 confirmed cases of the virus statewide.
- Like most other Midwest states, restaurants are closed.
Ohio:
- There are 88 confirmed cases of the virus statewide.
- As in much of the U.S., people have struggled to get tested for the disease.
Missouri:
- The University of Missouri softball stadium is now home to a drive-by testing site.
- There are 24 confirmed cases, and one death across the state.
Iowa:
- Public health officials are asking for donations of personal protective equipment, including gloves, masks and gowns.
- There are 38 confirmed cases of the virus.
