Wagler to the NBA Draft
After being eliminated by U-Conn in the Final Four, Illinois freshman guard Keaton Wagler has declared to submit his name to the 2026 NBA Draft.
Wagler posted the decision to his social media on Saturday.
He helped Illinois reach the Final Four for the first time since 2005, averaging 18 points per game.
Wagler is now projected to be a top 5 draft prospect in this year’s draft class.
The NBA Draft will take place on June 24th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Wagler thanked the city of Champaign and the university for all the support this season.
Incoming: Stefan Vaaks
On Saturday, it was announced that freshman guard Stefan Vaaks has committed to playing with the Illini next season.
The 6′ 7″ guard averaged 16 points per game in his first collegiate season for the Providence College Friars in Rhode Island.
Sophomores enter Transfer Portal
Meanwhile, sophomore guard Mihailo Petrovic and forward Toni Bilic decided to enter the transfer portal this summer.
Both players will spend the off-season exploring a different team to play for next season.
Both players were heavily recruited Illinois Head Coach Brad Underwood, but did not see much playing time.
