High winds expected Friday as remnants of Helene move into Central Illinois

Chambana meteorologist Andrew Pritchard and the National Weather Service in Central Illinois expect the remnants of (former hurricane) Helene will continue to bring steady rainfall to portions of southeast and central Illinois through Friday night. 

WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM CDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph
  expected.

* WHERE...De Witt, Macon, McLean, Piatt, Champaign, and Vermilion
  Counties.
