WEATHER ALERT: Severe storms expected late this afternoon and evening

Meteorologists in Central Illinois are watching winter weather systems that have brought snow and extremely cold temperatures to the area. Here is your IPM News Forecast from Meteorologist Andrew Pritchard:

  • Friday: cloudy and windy with a high of 14 degrees. Blowing and drifting snow possible, especially in rural areas. Northwest wind 20 mph, gusting to 30 mph.
  • Tonight: mostly cloudy with a low of -2 degrees. Wind chill values between -10 and -20. 
  • Saturday: mostly sunny with a high of 15 degrees. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
  • Tomorrow night, clear skies with a low of 0 degrees. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
  • Sunday: mostly sunny with a high of 23 degrees. South wind 5 to 15 mph.
