Central Illinois to see another extreme heat wave during holiday weekend

Another round of high temperatures are expected this holiday weekend in Central Illinois. Starting on Independence Day, the National Weather Service predicts temperatures to reach a peak of 94 degrees with increased humidity, which will continue throughout the weekend.

A few scattered showers are also expected on Sunday.
