Another round of high temperatures are expected this holiday weekend in Central Illinois. Starting on Independence Day, the National Weather Service predicts temperatures to reach a peak of 94 degrees with increased humidity, which will continue throughout the weekend.
A few scattered showers are also expected on Sunday.
Look for heat indices to peak at 95 to 100 degrees each afternoon Friday through Sunday. A stray shower or storm is possible this afternoon north of I-74, otherwise scattered storms will hold off until Saturday night, with low storm chances lingering through Monday. #ILwx pic.twitter.com/WlVbt4bKBV
