Pens to Lens held its first competition in 2012. Created by Champaign Movie Makers, the goal is to foster the love of screenwriting and movie-making among a younger audience. When Max Libman was 12, his script was chosen to be produced as a film.

Third C-U international film festival showcases global filmmaking and diversity in storytelling

The sold-out festival took place Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Spurlock Museum in Urbana. It received submissions from every continent except Antarctica. This year’s event featured films from the U.S., Brazil and Hungary.
