About Brian
Brian Mackey hosts and produces The 21st Show. Before joining Illinois Public Media, he spent eight years as a statehouse reporter for WUIS‑FM and served as A&E editor of The State Journal‑Register and statehouse bureau chief for the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. Brian became the program’s host in March 2020, bringing depth and context to conversations about Illinois politics and culture.
