Blue lines and Black lives, Urbana and Champaign’s police chiefs on Sonya Massey with, trauma researcher Alesha Lewis 

It’s been two months since Sonya Massey was killed in her own home by police. The response? Criticism, outrage, and anguish from across the country… but how do we prevent these tragedies from reoccurring?

With an incident like this happening in Champaign-Urbana’s backdoor, how do we protect the lives of Black women and men in the community? and is it possible to change the system from within?
