Freezing temperatures continue this week

Central Illinois’ cold front is not going away anytime soon. Temperatures will be in the teens through Saturday with “dangerously cold wind chills” ranging from -10 to -20, according to IPM News meteorologist Andrew Pritchard.

The National Weather Service’s Cold Weather Advisory ended at noon Tuesday and area schools are returning to normal including Champaign Unit 4 Schools, Urbana School District 116 and Rantoul City Schools after some closings and e-learning days due to recent snowfall.
