Details: Bridgewater recently completed an art residency at the University of Illinois’ Siebel Center for Design and centers photography, community, and family history throughout his work. The exhibition situates personal and collective memory within larger historical frameworks, including the politics of public pool segregation, the preservation of familial archives, and the legacies of Pan-Africanist thought. The opening reception begins at 5:00 p.m. and Bridgewater will make remarks at 5:30 p.m.
