About Layli
Layli Nazarova is a junior journalism major with a minor in political science from Moscow, Russia. She joined the Illinois Student Newsroom in 2025, having already been publishing work since 2024. Outside the newsroom, she serves as a reporter and production assistant at UI7 Newsroom for Good Morning Illini and UI7 Live, anchors UI7 Live, and participates in the Society of Women in Public Affairs and the American Advertising Federation. She enjoys singing and creating social media content in her free time.
