On a deserted stretch of beach a middle-aged couple, relaxing after a picnic lunch, talk idly about home, family, and their life together and suddenly they are joined by two sea creatures –lizards who have decided to leave the ocean depths and come ashore. Warmth, humor, and poetic eloquence, and with emotional and intellectual reverberations that will linger in the heart and mind long after the play has ended.

Arts Wellness Wave, November 4-11, 2023

1. 1. Arts Wellness Wave is a weeklong initiative dedicated to wellness, especially through the arts. It was conceived of and activated by the Wellness Working Group, professionals from the U of I campus and the Champaign-Urbana community that hope to engage expansive and intersectional ideas of wellness in it many dimensions.
   2. Contributors include: Monica Scott from Spurlock Museum; Teklii DeyKoontz from NAMI Champaign; Rhonda Daniels, independent art therapist; Ishita Dharap from Krannert Art Museum; Lindsey Stirek from Japan House; Citlaly Stanton from NAWC, and Patrick Cain from Museum of the Grand Prairie.
