  • Event: The Unreliable Bestiary: Cetacean

    • Date & Time: Opens Thursday the 28th, runs through Monday, October 2nd at 7:30 p.m.
    • Location: Stock Pavilion on the U of I campus
    • Additional Info: A performance art piece by Deke Weaver focusing on endangered animals and habitats.
  • Event: Macbeth

    • Date & Time: Opens Thursday the 28th at 7:30 p.m.
    • Location: Second Stage Theater at Parkland College in Champaign
  • Event: Summer’s End Concert

    • Date & Time: Friday, the 29th, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
    • Location: Allerton Park in Monticello
    • Additional Info: Featuring Chicky Sermon and the Way Down Wanderers. Last concert of the summer series.
  • Event: Pride Fest

    • Date & Time: Started this past Saturday, with events throughout the week
    • Location: Various locations in Champaign Urbana
    • Highlighted Events:
      • Sing-along screening of Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” at the Virginia Theater in Champaign on Thursday the 28th. Doors open at six, movie starts at seven.
      • Youth and Family Pride Party on Friday the 29th from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Phillips Recreation Center in Urbana.
      • CU Pride Fest Parade and Fair on Saturday, September 30th, with the fair from 1 to 5 and the parade beginning at 2:30 in downtown Urbana.
  • Event: 10th Annual C-U Oktoberfest

    • Date & Time: Saturday, September 30th from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
    • Location: Downtown Champaign
    • Additional Info: Family-friendly with music, food, drinks, and kid zone. Featuring the Poka Hos and D music Meisters.
