Police need public’s help to identify human remains found in Lake Mattoon

URBANA – Illinois State Police is asking for the public’s help to identify human remains in Lake Mattoon.

On Sunday, boaters observed part of a human arm in the lake.

The arm includes tattoos of a skeleton holding a Green Bay Packers football helmet and an unknown letter or number.

ISP hopes this information will help identify the man.

Anyone with information is asked to call Illinois State Police at 618-542-2400 or email ISP.Zone8commander@illinois.gov.
