A blowing dust advisory is in effect for Central Illinois until 7 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Gusts are predicted to be as high as 40 miles per hour. Drivers are encouraged to take precautions in encountering dust on the road. They should slow down and pull over as far as possible, NWS says.
