Here’s where Illinois Democrats running for U.S. Senate stand on three key issues

Capitol Hill

Illinois’ Primary Election Day is less than a week away, as voters decide who will represent Democrats and Republicans in the race to succeed retiring U.S. Senator Dick Durbin.

In the first of a two-part series, The 21st Show is recapping its interviews with both the Democratic and GOP candidates running for the seat. The complete list of candidates and interviews conducted by the 21st Show can be found here.

The below infographics highlight differences between the Democratic candidates on three major issues in this race: immigration, healthcare and Israel’s war in Gaza.

Democratic candidates include U.S. representatives Robin Kelly and Raja Krishnamoorthi, Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton, Jonathan Dean, Bryan Maxwell, Kevin Ryan, Steve Botsford, Sean Brown, Awisi Bustos, and Christopher Swann.

Only candidates who sat down with The 21st Show during the campaign are included. Krishnamoorthi, a leading candidate in the race, was unavailable for multiple requests to come on the program.

Similar infographics for the Republican candidates will be available with part two of this series.
