High early voting turnout ahead of Urbana’s Primary Election on Feb. 25

With Urbana’s Primary Election just days away, Champaign County Clerk Aaron Ammons says that nearly half of expected voters have already cast their ballots through early voting or mail-in options. More than 1,500 people had voted early as of Wednesday morning.

Sunday, Feb. 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Mayoral Candidates

Two Democrats are running for Urbana Mayor, and there is no Republican candidate. Whoever voters elect in the primary will be poised to become the city’s next mayor.
